Blogging In and Saying Hello

Updated: May 29, 2020

Hello! It's Kylie here. No, this is not someone else who is an admin of my website; this is me you're talking to and welcome to my first blog post!

You may have noticed that the text in this post is less formal than most you're seeing on my website (further reinforcing the fact that I'm the one posting this), hence the pun right off the get go as the title ("Blogging In," like logging into a blog? You get the idea).

This is how most of my posts will go: more personalized, sharing random topics and interests of mine that are both musical and non-musical, tidbits of humor and fun stuff (jokes, puns, quizzes etc.) and sometimes even serious topics on life (whenever it is best fit in the moment). Almost as if I'm conversing with you who are reading this. That way, we'll be able to connect all the more and hopefully find something we share common interests in. Of course, there's always the comment section below for you to chime in!

Here are some things to look out for on my blog posts:

  • Favorite music from my personal playlist of my favorite styles, artists, and yes, musical theatre cast albums and movie soundtracks

  • Posts about my favorite movies, books, musicals or TV shows

  • Shows and Musicals I've watched (and enjoyed)/would love to watch

  • Places I have been to/would like to visit

  • Miscellaneous activities such as arts and crafts, fiction writing, drawings, etc.

  • Highlights on everyday life

  • Appreciation posts (dedicated to some wonderful people in my life, and even those I look up to)

  • Supporting fellow artists (both performing and visual arts)

  • Memorable moments with friends and family

  • Quotes and words of wisdom I heard (or found online)

  • Vlogging

  • (In days and times like these) Sharing what I do during quarantine!

And a lot more! These are just a couple of things I have in mind, and unfortunately I can't list out everything have everything planned out on the top of my head, otherwise, it would be taking over this entire post (although there are tons and tons's true!)! But when you see them, you'll know, so be sure to stay tuned and check out for more posts when they come. If you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see from me or any questions about anything at all, feel free to chime in the comments!

Of course, like every online community, I want everyone who is on here to feel safe, welcomed and valued. Additionally, I would like to keep things as orderly and organized as possible and avoid chaos as much as humanly possible.

That's why, I'll need to lay down some of these...

Guidelines and Regulations

  • Keep all comments appropriate and respectful. This blog is intended to be age appropriate for most ages (and if there is anything PG or above, I will immediately let you know at the top of my post) and anything deemed inappropriate containing hate speech, verbal abuse or foul language within the comments, towards the post or fellow commentators will be deleted and may be blocked and reported.

  • We are meant to be a positive and supportive community. Be respectful of those who comment and myself as the post author. If there is anything you feel I should improve on in my posts, please be constructive (which is the respectful way to go). Terms such as "your post sucks" or any such insults directed at this blog or any fellow commentators will be deleted.

  • If you respond to a post, please keep it relevant. Questions about said post or inquiries about a post you would like to see is acceptable. However, starting a comment thread that has absolutely nothing to do with the post or containing spam or random advertisements or promotions will be deleted.

  • If there are any suggestions on posts you would like to see but I haven't posted them, please be patient. As I am starting out, I still have a number of ideas lined up but I am 100 percent open to suggestions. I will review each suggestion accordingly, and unfortunately I cannot say yes to everything right away, but I will review your suggestion and let you know if it has been approved. I will then respond to your comment accordingly and let you know when it will be posted or if it has been posted.

  • If there is a post that doesn't interest you or that you don't like (let's say an book, movie or music you're not a fan of or opinions that differ from your own, for example), please don't ask me to take it down. My blog will NOT contain anything offensive or anything to purposely make anyone feel uncomfortable as I strive to make this blog community as diverse, welcoming and as positive as I can. As one who writes these posts, I take the time and work hard on delivering this content, and saying that I shouldn't post it because it doesn't cater to your interests is not fair to those who may be interested. If there is any sort of sensitive content for whatever reason is necessary, I will immediately issue a warning at the beginning of the post. If you're not a fan of the content of a specific blog post, you can simply skip reading said post and check another one out that piques your interest.

  • These rules were not made to spoil your fun, I promise! They are simply here to maintain order in this little online space I've created for all of you who come and check it out.

You made it! Congratulations! Thank you for reading through these rules, everyone. I truly hope that you can respect them as I want this blog to remain a safe space for all who come here.

Well, that's all for today, folks! Thank you for your time and please stay tuned for more content I'll be "blogging in" and sending your way. Once again, if you have any questions about anything or suggestions on some content you would like to see in the near future, feel free to leave a comment and I'll get back to you as best I can.

Thank you once again and keep defying gravity,
